Alfred Joseph Guyatt was born at Orcheston St George, Shrewton, Wiltshire, and was a Groom. He enlisted into the 2nd Battalion, Wiltshire Regiment numbered 10315 and landed in France on 11th Dec 1914. He was wounded and reported missing, subsequently reported killed in action on the second day of the Battle of Loos on 27th Sept 1915, and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
