1914/15 Star named 14088 PTE R ALDEN R FUS.
Richard Alden born in Wandsworth, London and enlisted into the 2nd Royal Fusiliers numbered G/14088 and after training landed in Gallipoli on 25th Sep 1915. He died from exposure to the cold on 30th Nov 1915 at Sulva Bay due to the severe cold storms. At the close of the day they had 10 officers and 85 men but only 75 were effective as so many were sick due to the cold.
