1914/15 Star named 1792 PTE E EVANS WELSH R.
Emlyn Evans enlisted into the 6th Welsh Regiment numbered 1792 and landed in France on 17th Feb 1915. He was renumbered at some time to 265586 and is recorded as being wounded at the 149th Field Ambulance RAMC on 12th Nov 1917 due to Bomb wound to left hand. He then joined the Monmouthshire Regiment in the 1st & 4th battalions numbered 316707 and was discharged on 25th March 1919.
