      1914/15 Star, British War & Victory Medalsnamed 42427 SPR J A BALL RE &French Medaille d'Honneur Avec Glaices En Bronze named on back 42427 SPR J A BALL RE. Comes with the original rare French certificate for the award to him dated 21st Nov 1918.

      Joseph Arthur Ball was from Stockton-on-Tees and wasin the 76th Field Company Royal Engineers and landed in France on the 23rd Aug 1915 at this point they were attached to the Guards Division. He was awarded the French French Medaille d'Honneur Avec Glaices En Bronze Sin the London Gazette dated 14th July 1919.
