William Benjamin Sussex born 7th May 1895 and lived in Barking, London. He enlisted into the Essex Regiment numbered 2041 and left for Galliplio on 21st Jul 1915 with the 4th Battalion, landing on 11st Aug 1915. He left Gallipoli on 27th Oc 1915 and was sent home to recover from Malaria. He transferred to the 4th Devonshire Regt numbered 203836 and was sent to India on 26th Dec 1916 till 11th Nov 1917 when he was sent home sick and discharged with Silver War Badge on 22nd Dec 1917 due to heart condition and received a pension.
