George Frederick Perry Hardy born 1884 living in Plymouth, enlisted into the 3rd Devonshire Regiment numbered 3/7358 on 9th Sep 1914. He landed with the 2nd Battalion in France on 6th Nov 1914 and is noted in the Exeter & Plymouth Gazette dated 10th Dec 1914 as being Wounded in Action, noted as Gun Shot Wound Right Hand. He was issued with a Silver War Badge and pension as this was the end of his service, discharged 20th Jun 1915.
