1914 Star named RMA SGT F B NIBLETT R M BRIGADE.
Frederick Benjamin Niblett born 1869 in enlisted into the Royal Marine May 1889. He joined the Royal Marine Artillery numbered RMA 3869 as a gunner and spent time on HMS Conqueror, Belleisle, Audacious, Edinburgh, Alexandria, London & Triumph. In 1910 he was sent to the Royal Fleet Reserves.
He was called back when WW1 started and landed with the Royal Marine Brigade at Ostend and then at Dunkirk. He served in France and was with the RMA Anti Aircraft Brigade and the RMA Howitzer Brigade. Awarded a LS&GC in 1915 and a MSM with annuity in 1939.
