1914 Star named 5231 PTE C DELAMORE 11/HRS.Christopher was born in Boyle, Roscommon, Ireland in 1889. He joined the 11th Hussars (Prince Alberts Own) and was in the Band as a Bandsman. he entered WW1 by landing in France on 15th August 1914. It was on the 2nd November 1914 at Wulverghem that he was wounded and sent home. He joined the infantry next with the Royal Irish Fusilers numbered 25267 and then joined the 1/8th Royal Warwickshire Regt numbered 32893. He finally joined the Life Guards numbered 4711 in the Royal Horse Guards as a Musican.Comes with copy photos of the band with him in it and several copies of the regiments journal mentioned Delamore.
