Robert Ellis Hayward a native of Colchester served in France from 14 August 1914 with the 6th D. U. of Supply. He earned a mention in dispatches LG 31st Dec 1915 and a MSM LG 18th Jan 1919. He died in Essex 21st Mar 1945.
