1914 Star with original bar named 2161 PTE A DAVIES NORTH'D YEO & British War & Victory Medals named 2161 PTE A R DAVIS NORTH'D YEO.
Archibald Richard Davies born in 1890 and was a 20 year old Hay Merchant in the Northumberland Yeomanry numbered 2161 which he joined in 1911. He was born near Darlington and attended the yearly camps for the annual training in 1912 & 1913 when he was moblised on 5th Aug 1914 and landed in France on 5th Oct 1914. He stayed in France till 26th Jan 1915 when he came back and stayed till 31st March 1916 when he service expired after 5 years loyal service.
