      Description:

      Afghanistan Medal clasps Ahmed Khel & Kandahar engraved naming 2186 Pte A PERHAM 2/60TH FOOT. Light contact marks very fine.



      Alfred Perham was born 1859 at Chilton Pallen, Bridgwater, Somerset and enlisted into the 60th Foot on 12 November 1877. He served in India from 30 October 1878 until being posted to Afghanistan on 24 January 1879. Perham remained there until 8 October 1880 when he began service on the Mai Country (?) until 14 November 1880. He returned to India on 15 November 1880 till 24th Jan 1881, when the battalion was sent to South Africa till 11 Jan 1882 and then home. He was put in 37th Regt 14th Nov 1883 and the Rifle 1 June 1884 till discharged on 13 November 1889 still with the rank of Private.

      Sold with copied service papers - medal clasps confirmed on service papers, missing Kandahar Star.
