George Rundle born 5th May 1836 in Saltash, Cornwall enlisted into the Royal Navy as a Ordinary Seaman 2nd Class numbered 20206 on 28th Mar 1855. His first ship was HMS Pembroke where he earned the Baltic Medal till 20th Aug 1856 as a Ordinary Seaman, HMS James Watt till 23rd Apr 1857, HMS Boscawen till 14th Sep 1860 as a Able Seaman around the Cape of Good Hope earning a £5 bounty. HMS Desperate as a Leading Seaman till 7th Nov 1863, HMS Royal Oak till 25th May 1865 and then renumbered 34892.
HMS Doris till 11th Jun 1869, HMS Royal Adelaide till 21st Sep 1871, HMS Tamar till 21st May 1875 where he earned his Ashantee Medal and finally HMS Royal Adelaide again till he was pensioned ashore on 17th Jan 1876. 21 years service and no sign of a LS&GC medal.
