      Ashantee Medal no clasp named E LAMBLE LG STOKER HMS HIMALAYA 73-74.


      Edward Lamble born in Newton, Devon on 15th Jan 1833 enlisted into the Royal Navy on 5th Aug 1854 numbered 35775. He first served on HMS Curacoa as a stoker till 9th Sept 1857 earning himself the Crimea Medal clasp Sebastopol and Turkish Crimea Medal. HMS Ajax till 31st Jan 1858, HMS Exmouth till 20th May 1858, HMS Agamemnon 1st Sept 1858 as a Leading Stoker. HMS Royal Albert till 25th Jan 1861, HMS Indus till 23rd May 1861, HMS ??? 27th Oct 1864 and back to HMS Indus till 19th Sept 1866. HMS ??? till 23rd Mar 1870, HMS Royal Adelaide till 2nd Oct 1871, HMS Thalia till 13th May 1872, HMS Himalaya renumbered 76716 till 13th May 1874 where he earns his Ashantee Medal and then back to HMS Indus till 30th Sep 1874. This is where he leaves the Navy after 20 years service with 3 good badges so assume no LS&GC.

      Comes with service and roll papers confirming service and medal entitlement.
