Anthony Harrold Bokenham joined the Royal Anglian Regiment numbered 24070466 in May 1968 as a junior soldier. He spent his time in the Corps of Drums and did two years in Gibraltar, tours in Northern Ireland, Colchester. They were in Gibraltar in March 1988 when the IRA tried to bomb it. He was awarded the BEM in the Queens Birthday Honours List 1990. Tony was the Drum Major of the 1st Battalion with the nickname "Bokey".
