William O'Rourke born 21st Mar 1899 was an 18 year old gardener from Liverpool when he joined the Royal Welsh Fusiliers on 2nd Apr 1917 and then transferred to Royal Air Force numbered 129871 on 11th Feb 1918. He was sent to Egypt from 15th June 1918 to 10th Feb 1919 when he was sent to Seaplane Base in Malta to 23rd Sep 1919. He was awarded a BEM Civilian LG 5th Jun 1952 as Works Manager, Government Wool Disinfecting Station, Ministry of Labour & National Service, Liverpool.
