George Henry West born 7th Jun 1887 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire was originally in the Army from 11th Jan 1905. Transferred to the RAF 4th Dec 1916 as a Sgt Disciplinarian and then sent to Canada 5th May 1917 to 22nd Jun 1918. Made a Sjt Major Class 1 Apr 1918. He was awarded his LS&GC medal 1925 and retired 1928.
