British War Medal named TT-01208 S SJT G JEYNES AVC.
George Jeynes was in the Territorial Army Veterniary Corps and was numbered TT-01208 after agreeing to go abroad. His rank is recorded as first Acting Staff Sjt then Staff Sjt. It looks like from his records he was sent to Egypt as he caught Malaria some time in July 1918. He was mentioned in dispatches on 12th Jan 1918 LondonGazette and eventually he was discharged unfit in 1919 and given the Silver War Badge.
