John David Jenkinson was commissioned Pilot Officer in the Fighter Control Branch from the rank of Aircraftman Class II on 10 March 1953 with the Royal Air Force. 15th Mar 1954 from National Service to a Short Service Commission. Further advanced Flying Lieutenant on 12 February 1955 he was later transferred to the General Duties (Ground) Branch. Advanced Squadron Leader on 6 July 1971 while still serving with this branch and finally Wing Commander on 10 January 1978.
