Pte Falconbridge joined the Worcestershire & Sherwood Foresters regiment in 2001 and served in Northern Ireland in 2003. Its final overseas postings as an independent unit were to Helmand Province in Afghanistan between 2004 & 2007 before becoming the Mercian Regiment.
