Walter Palmer born 1891 in Harlesden enlisted into the 9th Hampshire Army Cyclist Corps numbered 117 in March 1912 and spent the vast majority of his time in the UK before transferring to the 225th Co Machine Gun Corps and being sent to India and Afghanistan. He was a Co Quarter Master Sgt and earned a BWM as well as the IGS.
