Jospeh Jordan was in the 1st Queens Regt and earned the Indian General Service Medal with clasps Punjab Frontier 1897-8 and Tirah 1897-8. He then went over to the 2nd Queens Regt for the boer war earning a Queens South Africa Medal with clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State & Transvall and the KSA.Kings South Africa Medal with clasps South Africa 1901 & 1902 British Army impressed 3458 PTE J JORDAN THE QUEENS. Has woobly clasp.Joseph was at the Battle of Val Krantz and Pieters near Potgeiters Drift were he was wounded at the start of the battle on 5th February 1900. He is then noted as died in hospital on 18th March 1902.
