1914/15 Star, British War & Victory Medals all named 288 PTE R S ARMOUR RAMC.
Robert Sinclair Armour from Glasgow enlisted into the Royal Army Medical Corps aged 20 years old in 1914 and was numbered 288. He landed in the Egypt on 21st Jun 1915 with the 1/1st Lowland Field Ambulance RAMC. In June 1915 he landed at Gallipoli till Sept 1915 when he was sent to Malta and then home. He went to France in Nov 1917 till April 1918 when he was wounded in action on 10th Apr 1918. Sent back to UK till Nov 1918 when he went to France again till Mar 1919 and then he was discharged from service on 26th Apr 1919.
