Jesse Doust Threadgill born 1888 in Deptford and by 1901 he was in an Orphan School in St Pancras, London. In the 1911 Census he was a Wheelwright working on wagons and the 1939 Census he is a master baker and special constable in Abotts Ann, Andover, Hampshire. He was awarded an MBE LG 1st Jan 1964 as Chairman of Andover District Council. He died in 1978 in the same village.
