      MBE Military, 1939/45, Africa Stars, Defence & War Medals all unnamed as issued & Regular Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal named S/6132709 WOCL1 E H WEDGBURY RASC

      Ernest Harold Wedgbury born 1900 in Streatham, Surrey enlisted into the army in 1919 but did not serve in WW1. In 1939 he was a 1st Class Staff Sgt Major in the Royal Army Service Corps numbered 102672 when he was made a Lt Quarter Master emmergency commission on 17th Oct 1939. Made a proper Lt Q/M in May 1940 and awarded a MBE Military on 1st Apr 1941. He was made a Captain in Oct 1945, transferred to the ERE List on 27th Nov 1947 and Major Nov 1948 and finally retired due to age in Nov 1955.

      He died in June 1945 in Southend-on-Sea aged 74. See his Sons medals as well.
