Military Medal named 6854 PTE J GARDNER 7/E LANCS R.Pte Gardner first landed in France on 17th July 1915. This is a Battle of Somme award for the period 1st July to 6th July 1916.At some stage he transferred to the Military Field Police as a L/Cpl.
