Harry Ellel born in 1887 in Blackburn the Son of William (Fruit Salesman) and Ann Ellel of Florence Street, Blackburn. They had 9 children who weaver at home to bring in money. Harry enlisted into the West Lancashire Division Royal Artillery numbered 676052 and then 2715, before transferring to the 57th Divisional Signal Company Royal Engineers numbered 427936. He won a MM at the Battle of Amiens published LG 24th Jan 1919.
