      WW1 Military Medal named 200329 PTE J ABRAHAMS 2/6 GLOUC R. Please note suspender snapped and medal battered see pics.


      John Frederick Abrahams born 7th Jan 1898 in Bristol and enlisted in the North Somerset Yeomanry and then the Gloucestershire Regiment numbered 200329. This is where it becomes different his medal roll states he was in the 2/5th Battalion but his MM card and medal state 2/6th Battalion. The MM LG 13th Mar 1918 was for fighting around Cambrai Nov/Dec 1917.

      He has a Fold3 card which we don't have access to.

      In July 1922 he is a Car Conductor in Bristol and joins the Royal Tank Corps numbered 397569 as a Trooper and leaves in July 1926. He dies in Bristol in Oct 1980 aged 82 years old.
