William Morris enlisted into the 2nd East Lancashire Regiment numbered 18526 and landed in France on 20th May 1915. He later transferred to the 6th Battalion and won an MM LG 14th Sept 1916 for battles between March-June 1916. At some point he transferred to the Machine Gun Corps numbered 176511.
