      Queens South Africa Medal clasps Relief of Kimberley & Paardeberg engraved naming 3333 PTE A E DOMMETT GLOUC RGT.


      Albert Edward Dommett born 1874 in Stroud, Gloucestershire and enlisted into the Gloucestershire Regiment numbered 3333 on 10th Aug 1891 when he was a tailor's presser in Bristol. After training he was sent to Malta on 1st Nov 1893, till he was sent to Egypt on 21st Nov 1895, till he was sent to India on 6th Feb 1897. Back home on 3rd Mar 1899 till 1st Jan 1900 when he was sent to South Africa for the Boer War with the 2nd Battalion. He served in the campaign till 10th Jun 1900 when he was sent home due to being Wounded in Action at Paardeberg on 19th Feb 1900. He left the army on 23rd Feb 1902.

      Comes with service papers - provenance Chester Medals.
