Thomas Durling born 1865 in Gravesend, Kent enlisted aged 21 years old Groom in the Royal Horse Artillery numbered 57792 on 2nd Nov 1886. After training he was sent to India on 20th Sep 1887 till 26th Nov 1892 when he back to UK till 23rd Oct 1899. Next South Africa till 22nd Jan 1904 awarded QSA 4 clasps & KSA 2 clasps, then India till 8th Nov 1907 when he went back to UK and was discharged on 23rd Nov 1907. 21 years service and was awarded an LS&GC in 1905.
