Arthur Earlam born 1877 in Frodsham, Cheshire one of 6 children to Hirem & Phebi Earlam living in Church Street in Frodsham. He was a book keeper when he enlisted into the Cheshire Yeomanry numbered 29939. He was sent to South Africa as replacement for the sick and wounded. He arrived in South Africa on 15th Mar 1901 till 27th Aug 1902 when he was sent back to UK and discharged on 3rd Sep 1902. He worked as a dock labourer in the 1920s on the Manchester Ship canal living in Manchester. He died aged 89 on 29th May 1966.
