The parent corps of the Kaffrarian Rifles raised in East London, Cape in 1876 with a strength of two companies. Led by Colonel Brabant and Captains Nettleton and Von Linsigen, the unit were disbanded after service in the operations in September 1880. They had Sergeant Broderick killed in action at Isandhlwana.The only Medal named to a Bugler in this unit. Confirmed on rolls.
