Henry Swift served in N Battery 6th Brigade Royal Artillery numbered 871 and earned his 1879 clasp. They served in Natal with 173 men and 132 horses. In the destructive show at Ulundi they fired 68 rounds with one driver wound, two horses killed and two wounded.
