Percy Oakley born 21st Mar 1882 or 1883 depending on several documents in Tenby, Pembrokeshire. He was a warehouseman when he enlisted into the 1st Pembroke Yeomanry numbered 382 in Mar 1913. He went to Egypt in Mar 1916 and later in Feb 1917 was merged into the 24th Welsh (Pembroke & Glamorgan Yeomanry) Regiment numbered 320061. He was wounded in action in the arm when serving in Palestine as the entry for him in the Lives of the First World War quote - He had only one arm and was a veteran of the 1st World War (Pembroke Yeomanry) and lost an arm in action in the Palestine campaign. He was also discharged from the army with a Silver War Badge. His medals would be a WW1 Pair & TFWM. After WW1 he worked for Great Western Railways at Tenby station and was awarded a War Pension as well. He died in 1965 and is buried in Tenby.
