WW1 Victory Medal named K14480 E C COTTAM STO1 RN.
Ernest Charles Cottam born 27th Jan 1894 in Plymouth and enlisted into the Royal Navy on 29th Apr 1912 for 12 years. During WW1 he served on HMS Berwick till 30th Jun 1915, HMS Magnificent from 9th Sep 1915 till 2nd Mar 1916, HMS Adventure from 2nd Apr 1916 till 25th Nov 1917 and then HMS London till war finished. He stayed on and reentered the Navy in WW2 he was serving on HMS Caradoc from 31st Jul 1939 till at least 31st Dec 1940 when the service records stop.
