Group 1 British War Medal named 20944 PTE H KEY NOTTTS & DERBY R & Death Plaque named HENRY KEY .Church Medal named ALL SAINTS 1902 on front & H KEY on back.Ripped picture of two Notts & Derby soldiers.
Group 2 WW2 Air Minstry Box adressed to A H Key, 4 Middle St, Beeston, Nottingham. With unanmed WW2 Defence & War Medals, Medals slips with perforate edges showing the two awards,Air Council honour slip and a mini national service medal 1939-1960. A completed RAF service and release book for 1653757 AC1 AH Key.
Henry Key was born in 1894 in All Saints Parish of Nottingham to William & Ellen Key. One of 5 children. Henry joined about 1915 when 21 and went into the 2nd Notts & Derby Regiment. He was sadly killed in action on 13th September 1916 at the age of 22 at the start of the Battle of Cambrai. Arthur Henry Key was born on 3rd October 1914.
Group 2 We assume is either the son of Henry or another relative. He joined the RAFVR as an Electician on 1st April 1942 until 22nd February 1946 and was numbered 1653757. When he joined he was listed as a Greenhouse Nursey Worker from Beeston, Nottingham.
