Percy Leonard Attwood-Owen is assumed to hail from Wales as his mother hailed from Swansea, Wales. He served in German South West Africa from 12th Oct 1914 to 31st Oct 1915 and the German East Africa from 6th Dec 1915 to 8th Aug 1917. He won his MC LG 30th Jan 1917 as Quarter Master & Hon (temp Capt) with the 2nd South Africa Horse. He is noted as being wounded in action, gun shot wound to Elbow on 21st Mar 1916. He went to France and Italy from 17th July 1918 to 7th Feb 1920 and received an MID LG 8th Feb 1917 Staff HQ South Africa Horse and 22nd Aug 1918 Utrecht Commando. He was appointed 1st Brigade QM.
He also served in the Labour Corps and the Royal Munster Fusiliers. He relinquished his commission on 21st May 1920 while with the 1st Garrison Royal Munster Fusiliers.
