WW1 Memorial Plaque named HUBERT JOHN BAILEY.
Hubert John Bailey born in Verwood, Dorset enlisted into the Hampshire Regiment numbered 21573. He transferred to the 5th Wiltshire Regiment numbered 25147 and served with them in WW1. He served in theMesopotamia campaign and was killed in action on 25th Jan 1917 during the capture of the Hai Salient . He is buried at the Amara War Cemetery in Iraq.
