Edward George Brogden from Shrivenham enlisted into the No1 Field Ambulance of the Royal Army Medical Corps numbered 5439 and landed in France on 18th Aug 1914. He is noted as being awarded a Mention in Dispatches LG 17th Feb 1915. At some time later he was transferred to the 2/4th Hampshire Regt TF numbered 40896 and was awarded the MM LG 17th Jun 1919 for actions during the months of Sept 1918. He survived the war.
