WW1 Military Medal named 40823 PTE-LCPL T MCGLYNN 2/HIGH LI.
Thomas McGlynn from Sunderland enlisted into the 5/6th Scottish Rifles numbered 3492 before transferring to the 12th Highland Light Infantry numbered 40823. He was reported as wound in action with gas poisoning in late July 1917. He recovered and transferred to the 2nd battalion being awarded an MM LG 11th Feb 1919 for the Battle of Amiens from 8th Aug to 3rd Sep 1918. Entitled to a pair.
