WW1 Military Medal named 4784 PTE R WESTON 21/MGC.
Raymond Weston was a Boots/Shoe mender from Northampton when he enlisted into the Machine Gun Corps numbered 4784 on 20th Oct 1915. He landed in France on 24th Feb 1916 with the 21st Company Machine Gun Corps and won the MM LG 21st Oct 1918 for the period May to June 1918. He transferred to the Bedfordshire Regt numbered 22768 and then left the army around Mar 1919. He re-enlisted back into the MGC numbered 7807094 and left again in Mar 1922 during this time he was a Medical Officers Orderly.
