Arthur Roland Wood born in 1887 in Leystone, Essex when he enlisted into the 55th Field Ambulance Royal Army Medical Corps numbered 75941 on 30th Oct 1915 aged 27 year old clerk. He landed in France on 10th Oct 1916 and was awarded the Military Medal LG 13th June 1919 for actions in Oct 1918 at the Battle of Selle (War Diary) and discharged Aug 1919.
