WW1 Military Medal named 4123 PTE T HOGAN 7/LEINS R.
Thomas Hogan was from Goosegreen Townland, Dublin when he enlisted into the 7th Leinster Regiment numbered 4123. He landed in France with the 7th Battalion and was awarded an MM LG 26th Mar 1917 for operations in Feb 1917. He was awarded his MM according to the war diary for a trench raid on the morning of 1st Feb 1917. He later joined the 1st Battalion and survived the war. He is noted in the war casualty list of 30th Apr 1918 as being wounded in action.
