John Howard Heuston born in Liverpool on 17th Nov 1891 and was a Civil Servant in Glasgow when he enlisted into the Royal Field Artillery on 11th Feb 1917 numbered 217338. He was commissioned on 8th April 1918 in the Royal Garrison Artillery and served in France with the 135th Heavy Battery RGA. He was sent home in Dec 1918 suffering from Influenza and was discharged in June 1919.
