William Scott enlisted into the Royal Scots numbered 2386 and landed in France on 26th Feb 1915 (missing 1914/15 Star). He did well and gain a commission in the South Wales Borderers on 30th April 1918 and was attached to the 13th Welsh Regiment. At the 2nd Battle of Cambrai he was mortally wounded on the 8th Oct 1918 on the first day of battle and died of his wounds aged on 26 years old.
