Charles Edwin Burks born 26th Nov 1893 in Lincoln enlisted into the A Coy 1st Lincolnshire Regt numbered 9920. He was wounded in action on 2nd Jul 1916 after being buried alive presumably by a mine of shell. He was brought to the 34th casualty clearing centre and then evacuated by Ambulance Train on 5th July 1916.
