Frederick Dark born in Edington, Wiltshire in 1876 enlisted into the 2nd Wiltshire Regiment numbered 4035 aged 18 years old. He stayed in the army till 7th Nov 1913 and then reenlisted back on 29th Jan 2nd Aug 1917 with the 3rd Wiltshire Regt and spent time in India. He transferred to the Devonshire Regiment numbered 53010 and landed in France on 10th Feb 1917. He was transferred to the Labour Corps numbered 99135 280 Area Supply Company and then 225 DE Coy and finally discharged on 3rd Feb 1919.
