John Wilson born 1898 enlisted into the Durham Light Infantry numbered 54210. After training he landed in France with the 13th Battalion and is recorded as being wounded in action around 5th Sep 1917 as he is mentioned in a Hospital register as being hit in the back and butt with the 13th Battalion. He subsequently transferred to the 15th Battalion.
