Henry Skelding born in 1899 in Derbyshire was a 17 year old when he enlisted into the Durham Light Infantry on 3rd Feb 1917 numbered 100899. After training he was sent to France on 12th Oct 1918 with the 15th Battalion. He was wounded in action between 23rd/24th Oct 1918 with gun shot wounds left hand and sent back to UK.
