      WW1 British War & Victory Medals named S-29247 T WO Cl2 W J HUMPHRIES ASC, WW2 War Medal unnamed as issued, Army Long Serivice & Good Conduct Medal named S-2251 WO Cl II W J HUMPHRIES RASC & Army Meritorious Service Medal named S-29247 TSQM SJT W J HUMPHRIES RASC. Mounted for wear, contact marks & edge bruising.


      William Jasper Humphries born 6th Aug 1894 in Parkhurst, Isle of Wight. Enlisted into the Army Service Corps in 1911 numbered S/29247 as a boy aged 16 years old. He is noted in 1911 census as serving in Aldershot. He served in France as a Transport Warrant Officer and continued after the war. Awarded his MSM LG 16th Oct 1919 with GHQ 1st Echelon in Aldershot. Made a Lt Quarter Master LG 14th Nov 1939, Captain QM LG 3rd Aug 1945 & finally Major QM 6th Aug 1946. He retired on 7th Aug 1951 and died in 1960.
